Our team is composed of accomplished musicians with extensive performance and teaching experience. All of our instructors have college or university education and are Royal Conservatory of Music certified. We are dedicated to providing quality, personalized instruction to help meet the goals and aspirations of each individual student. Only the most practical approaches to teaching music are implemented in our classes. Our objective is to in still a lifelong appreciation of music to students in a fun and encouraging setting. We pride ourselves in being the small local studio with a big heart!

Sotyria (Suzy): Owner & Piano Instructor
Sotyria is a classical pianist that began playing piano at the age of 4. Music remained the biggest part of her life as she went on to study Classical Music Performance at Mohawk College. She is currently studying for the ARCT in piano pedagogy. Sotyria has 20 years of teaching experience and in 2013 Sotyria opened the doors to Intune Music where she has continued to make music fun for kids. Her friendly and always positive approach keeps students excited for their lesson each week. She is devoted to maintaining the happy and comfortable teaching environment Intune has become to be known for. Sotyria has been awarded “Best Music Instructor” 4 years in a row in the Hamilton Spectator Readers Choice Awards. She is also proud to direct the award winning Pop Star summer camp here at Intune where she provides a welcoming atmosphere for all campers to be part of. Sotyria truly enjoys seeing all the progress of each student at Intune.
Scott: Guitar, Bass, Drums & Ukulele Instructor
Scott is an experienced, versatile multi-instrumentalist with a passion for sharing the joy of music. He has always been musical, and his own lessons started with guitar at age 9. Also loving percussion, Scott got his start on drums in his Middle School music programs. Scott is also Royal Conservatory trained in guitar and teaches advanced theory. Scott has over 10 years of experience in music instruction to students of all ages, levels and abilities.
His recording career began when his band Sauce Rock-it was able to record at the legendary Grant Avenue Studios. Scott was the drummer and a background vocalist, he was welcomed to play live venues at the early age of 14.
Later, his fretwork was on display as lead guitar player of the worship band The Witnesses. At the age of 16 he played for crowds of a thousand people at a week-long Canada wide youth convention held at Brock University.
Scott has continued to be a working, gigging musician, a lead and background vocalist and songwriter. He has fronted original music projects such as Radiosilence (a Mohawk College battle of the bands winner) and Gentlemen Spectres. He has extensive cover band experience with The Vibes and current project Shakalaka.
A well-rounded musician, Scott has played in many situations, fronting bands at venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe, The El Mocambo, This Ain’t Hollywood, and his weekly residence at The Lazy Flamingo. He has performed small coffee house gigs, played for dance recitals at Hamilton Place, and co-hosted well known open mic nights. Because of his versatility, Scott is a sought-after sit in musician for many local bands. He also continues to be an active worship leader with a position leading contemporary worship for a Church in Milton. He is excited to be part of the Intune team!
Nathanael, originally a classical pianist for 12 years earning his ARCT diploma transitioned to contemporary and jazz for his new found love of arranging and improvisation. He is also a graduate of the Music Performance program at Mohawk College. On the side, Nathanael plays Guitar, Bass, violin and Eastern and African Drums for various occasions when needed. As a gigging musician and teacher he stresses the importance of exploring all aspects and genres of music. His favourite and most influential genres are Jazz Fusion, Reggae RnB and Afro Cuban/Latin jazz. With his extensive background in music he’s taken his knowledge to the test of being apart of many bands and working with those with an ear for jazz. Mohawk has brought many opportunities to Nathanael’s musicianship, including his love for Broadway music and working with Jamshed Turel apart of the Burlington Student Theater Pit Band. Through the great support of colleagues and the music faculty at Mohawk he enters the music industry confident in his abilities to perform and educate. Nathanael has been teaching at Intune for 3 years now!
Elliott: Violin & Piano Instructor
Elliott is a nonbinary artist from Hamilton. He is the principal 2nd violinist of the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, which he has been a part of for 5 years. He has studied piano since he was 3 years old, though violin is his true passion and what he will pursue in university. He studies with Helen Tobias and Gabriel Bolkosky, renowned Suzuki violin teachers. He follows the Suzuki philosophy, which he has used all his life, and he attends summer Suzuki institutes yearly. He enjoys playing in ensembles and orchestras throughout the Hamilton area. He lives on a farm with goats and chickens on the outskirts of Binbrook. He participates in productions by Curtain Call PAC as a performer and stage manager for their youngest age bracket. He’s looking forward to working with children and young artists again!
